CAIRO: After 15 months, the first flight by Egypt Air arrived at Cairo Airport, on Tuesday from the Japanese capital Tokyo, with 264passengers on board. Pilot Ayman Nasr, Chairman of Egypt Air said that the company has made every effort to speed the resumption of flights to Tokyo, so as to ensure the national interest, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism for the restoration of operating economically. He added that flights will resume to Japan twice a week, on board of the new long-range aircraft Boeing 777-300ER, which can accommodate 346 passengers. Ayman Nasr explained that the rates of Japanese tourism were one of the highest rates seen in Egypt in the previous period, and expressed hope that the Japanese government lifts the ban on travel to Egypt as a whole.
