CAIRO: Egypt's Shura Council Speaker, Ahmed Fahmi, stressed the importance of boosting Egypto-Turkish relations and exchanging expertise in the political, economic and cultural domains via exchange of intensified high-profile ministerial and parliamentarian visits. During his meeting on Wednesday, with Turkish Ambassador Hussein Avni Botsali, Fahmi said, “I am sure that Egypt will be doing better and assuming a bigger regional role after its January 25th Revolution.” He expressed his keenness on increasing the Turkish investments in Egypt and beefing up bilateral partnership ties. The Turkish ambassador said, “Egypt is very much capable of surmounting its current hardships and achieving future growth and stability.” He voiced hope that Egypt will pass through the current transitional period successfully.
