CAIRO: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and current Head of the African Petroleum Producers Association (APPA) Abdullah Ghorab inaugurated the APPA's ministerial conference, on Thursday. The conference included ministers of petroleum and energy and heads of delegations of 17 African countries, including Algeria, Angola, Benin, Ghana, Cameroon, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Libya, Nigeria, South Africa, Chad, Mauritania and the Sudan. In a statement on Wednesday, Ghorab said hosting the conference in Cairo is a great opportunity for enhancing cooperation with the African countries in all oil and gas industry domains. The event covered oil and gas production, marketing strategies, the exchange of information and expertise among APPA members, the minister added.
