CAIRO: Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood's political wing, the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), which holds 40 percent of Parliamentary seats, called on the parliamentary majority of both the People`s Assembly and the Shura Council, to form a coalition government to “bear the responsibility of state affairs, which could be held accountable by the parliament and play its true role.” The party continued to say that there are “many crises and obstacles that Egyptians witness because of the current government, appointed by the ruling military junta and led by Prime Minister Kamal el-Ganzouri,” accusing the current Cabinet of exporting these crises and problems to the next government. The FJP reiterated in a statement issued on Wednesday, its rejection to the “continuation of the current government in place after the continued failure in the management of affairs of the country on all levels either political, economic, social or security affairs,” and stressed that the current government has “not provided anything so far to convince the Egyptian people of its role and the deputies in the People's Assembly and Shura Council, especially after failing to provide the energy requirements of petrol and diesel in addition to an utter failure in solving the problem of butane, as well as continued high prices in various commodities and the requirements of living.” It was the first real public accusation directed toward the military and its government that it placed into power following the November clashes in downtown Cairo. The FJP said that the security situation “has not seen progress and the government failed in its elimination of lawlessness, in addition to the crisis of Port Said, which translated into a a big failure of the government, and even at the external level and the scandal of the foreign NGOs case where the American defendants left the country.” BM ShortURL: http://goo.gl/JlqKf Tags: Egypt, featured, FJP, Government, Ikhwan, SCAF Section: Egypt, Latest News
