Los Angeles (dpa) – The biggest stars of the movie world have some new company on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. The beloved Muppet characters, who rose to fame in 1970s TV shows and recently had a hit movie in cinemas, were awarded a star Tuesday on the famous Hollywood sidewalk. They join a long list of non-human characters already on the magic mile, including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Snow White and the Simpsons. On hand for Tuesday's ceremony were Lisa Henson, oldest child of Muppet creator Jim Henson, with leading Muppets Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog, Gonzo and Fozzie Bear. The honor was timed to coincide with the release of the latest Muppet movie on DVD. BM ShortURL: http://goo.gl/K95T5 Tags: Hollywood, Muppets, Star, Walk of Fame Section: Entertainment
