DENPASAR, INDONESIA (dpa) – Indonesian police on Sunday killed five suspected militants on the resort island of Bali, a police spokesman said. Three of the suspects were killed in a resort bungalow in the Sanur area while the other two were killed in a rented room in Denpasar, said police spokesman Hariadi, who goes by one name. “They were planning to commit a robbery,” Hariadi said. “They are linked to terrorism.” He did not say why police used lethal force.
