CAIRO: According to Egypt's State Information Service, the King Tutankhamun exhibition opened Saturday in Osaka, Japan. There has been long mutual co-operation between the two nations, and the exhibit is expected to strengthen Egyptian-Japanese ties. A great festival marking the ceremony was held in Tempozan Museum in Osaka in presence of a host of Egyptian senior figures. The exhibition will run in Osaka for four months and then will be transferred to Tokyo for six months. The event will hopefully contribute to promoting Japanese tourism to Egypt, said a Japanese tourism advisor. EgyptAir will re-operate direct flights between Cairo and Tokyo as of April with a view to promoting the Japanese tourist influx to Egypt, said an EgyptAir official. The exhibition will include 122 monumental pieces of the Tutankhamun treasure. BM ShortURL: http://goo.gl/LAhDf Tags: Japan, King Tut, Tourism Section: Asia, Culture, Egypt, Latest News, Travel
