LONDON/ROME (dpa) – Police in Britain have arrested a woman on suspicion of terrorism in connection with an alleged planned attack on a synagogue in the Italian city of Milan, Scotland Yard said Thursday. Earlier, police in the northern Italian town of Brescia said they had arrested a 20-year-old Moroccan man for having a Facebook page showing maps of the synagogue and containing instructions on weapons and explosives training. The arrest of the 40-year-old woman, in a dawn swoop on a house in south London, followed close liaison with Italian police, Scotland Yard said. Detectives in London were questioning the woman, held under the Terrorism Act, to establish whether there was any link between the two suspects. The man held in Brescia had lived in the town since he was a small child and was so far not known to have had links with terrorism, Italy's ANSA news agency said.
