Islamabad (dpa) – The Taliban in Pakistan on Friday threatened to launch more attacks against the country if the government tried to put on trial former al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden's three widows. “We will attack every lawyer, judge, and security officials involved in the trial. We will target them with suicide attacks or whatever other means,” said Taliban spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan. The Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Thursday that a case had been registered against the former al-Qaeda chief's widows for illegally entering and staying in Pakistan. The women – two Saudis and one Yemeni – were detained after the raid by US commandos at the compound in the north-western city of Abbottabad in which Bin Laden was killed. The three women are now being held at a private house in Islamabad under high security.
