CAIRO: Police in Meriden, Connecticut were called to Hanover Elementary School Tuesday afternoon after a teacher reported that a 4 year-old special needs student brought marijuana to school. The boy told his teacher that he had brought snacks for snack time, and that he was interested in sharing them. He then pulled nine bags of marijuana out of his coat pocket. Local police indicated the bags of narcotics appeared similar to marijuana packets ready for sale. The school's principal, Miguel Cardona, called the incident “extremely unfortunate” and “isolated.” He also said that was not witnessed by other students. The student is said to have had no idea what he had brought to school. Due to pending investigations, names have been withheld, and police have indicated possible arrests. Children's protective service is also on alert. BM ShortURL: http://goo.gl/NAiIx Tags: Marijuana, School, Toddler Section: Latest News, North America
