CAIRO: Parents in the town of Nebro in the Delta governorate of Dakahlia panicked after rumors spread that a teacher at a secondary school for girls married 132 students using unregistered marriage contracts. Employees gathered in front of the Dakahlia Security Directorate to file a report against the teacher for marrying his students. Policemen arrived at the school to find security services preventing demonstrating parents from entering the building. Police fired into the air to prevent the parents from storming the school and arresting the teacher. After teacher was arrested and brought to the police station, parents demonstrated outside. According to investigations, the teacher collected blank sheets signed by students to be used in unregistered marriage contracts. The principle said the teacher collected the blank sheets without permission. The teacher asked the students to write their names and their fathers' in order to send them to art classes to decorate them. Later the prosecution released the teacher and his whereabouts are unknown.
