DUBAI: A new global survey of sexual satisfaction has revealed Singaporeans and Japanese are the least satisfied in the bedroom. The Global Sexual Wellbeing survey published by Durex, saw that Singapore and Japan were the bottom two countries, respectively. Singapore scored a national average of 58 percent in overall satisfaction, just ahead of Japan, which rated a satisfaction level of 34 percent. The survey aims to understand consumers' sexual attitudes and behaviors. The most satisfied country was Indonesia, which rated 89 percent. Coming close behind was Malaysia at 85 percent. The survey, conducted between Sept 6 and Oct 3 last year, polled 506 respondents in Singapore. Only half of the male respondents were satisfied with their partners when it came to sexual pleasure while 62 percent of women claimed their partners were good at providing sexual pleasure. The survey also found that sex brought partners closer emotionally, with 78 percent of female respondents and 68 percent of male respondents saying sex brought them closer to their partners. During sex, 66 percent of men and 72 percent of women felt loved by their partners. Among male respondents, 57 percent of felt the psychological and emotional aspects of sex – such as feeling loved and being intimate – are as important for men as they are for women.
