DUBAI: Saudi Arabia is getting excited over the telecom sector's push toward the 4G LTE network. At Telsa, the only dedicated telecoms and ICT exhibition and conference in the Gulf kingdom, regional experts are hopeful that the 4G introduction into the country will create a boost for the telecom industry. The three-day event in Riyadh was organized by the National Exhibitions Company and Informa Saudi Arabia. Trade Arabia reported that “the objective of presenting a platform that unites the industry in discussion and debate, enabling a powerful industry voice and creating a timely learning and sharing experience for the unique Saudi market.” Earlier this month, Saudi operators were optimistic after the government announced it would open up bidding on the 4G licenses in the country. Saudi nationals are hopeful that it will lead to an increase in the telecom infrastructure in the country. “Telsa comes at exactly the right time and place since Saudi is one of the most thriving markets in the world,” remarked Hussain Al Harthi, managing director, National Exhibition Company, in comments published by Trade Arabia. “By bringing together top decision-makers from the local, regional and international private and public sectors, the event gives participants an invaluable insight into the future of Saudi telecoms and the ICT segment, and presents an ideal networking environment that paves the way for future investment in a market that holds vast opportunities,” he remarked.
