CAIRO: Tunisia's leading telecommunication operator Tunisie Telecom has launched three new Samsung handset packs for the Caspi E3213K, Galaxy Mini S5570 and Galaxy Pro GT-B7510, the company said on Thursday. “The first sells for TND 1 instead of TND 129 with a Formi 30 or higher plan, the ¬ second for TND 99 instead of TND 299 with a Formi 50 or higher plan and the third for TND 279 instead of TND 449, also with a Formi 50 or higher plan,” the company said in a press statement. Customers who sign two-year contracts are “offered a number of advantages, including a 100 percent call bonus, mobile internet, free SMS to all Tunisian networks and overseas numbers.” Users and analysts see the new releases as a positive step for the industry as a whole. “I believe this will help continue to make Tunisia a leader for the region in terms of telecom output and being able to constantly upgrade our existing networks and technology, and it should be very solid in terms of investors to the country,” said Ibrahim Said, a telecom blogger in the country.
