DUBAI: A United Arab Emirates (UAE) court has charged a Filipino lifeguard and a Pakistani worker of molesting a special needs Indian woman in the country, local newspapers reported on Monday. They were in court on Sunday for their first appearance. The Filipino, 35, and the Pakistani, 21, were accused of fondling in Palm Jumeirah a 25-year-old Indian student with “a learning disability,” The Khaleej Times said. An American psychiatrist told the prosecutor that the student was about to be 26-years-old, but her mental age was that of an 8- to 10-year-old. According to a witness who was in the court, and spoke to Bikyamasr.com on Monday evening, the Filipino is accused of following the young Indian woman into the ladies room where he attacked her, kissing and fondling her for some five minutes. Minutes later, the Pakistani reportedly did the same to the woman. Then, the victim's mother reportedly told the court said her daughter kept silent about what she experienced and only learned of the incident from a security guard, who saw the girl crying. The lifeguard was then confronted by the mother and confessed to the assault in the bathroom. When police arrived, both the Filipino and Pakistani accused each other of molesting the girl, the Khaleej Times said. According to the evidence given to the court, both the accused had semen stains on their clothes soon after the incidents. BM
