CAIRO: An Egyptian newspaper reported that two young men threw Molotov Cocktails inside the Arab League headquarters in Cairo on Thursday morning. The youm7.com report said that the two bottles “landed inside the building and burst into flames next to the League's mosque.” The Arab League is located on the outskirts of Cairo's central Tahrir Square, where until military violently cracked down on protesters, a sit-in had been taking place. According to the report, which Bikyamasr.com could not independently verify, the two men had been riding a motorcycle and fled the scene following their attack. No damages were reported as guards quickly put out the fire before it could grow. It comes as youm7 reported that threats of a bomb inside the building had been reported in recent days, although police could find no evidence of a device. On a related note, Libya's Muammar Gaddafi has reportedly offered $200,000 to anyone who destroys the Arab League building. BM
