A global survey of IT professionals across the world shows that IT professionals desire locally produced content, according to an Arabic press release posted yesterday on the Middle Eastern news website Zawya. The report, conducted by IDG connect, surveyed 3217 specialists in 114 countries. 72 percent of respondents said locally produced technical reports are “extremely useful.” The report, released in English said that 84% of African IT professionals, and 81% of those in the Middle East desire more locally produced market research. The report also notes that IT professionals in developing economies prefer analytical and statistical reports to “thought leadership” content, which is preferred in North America. BM
