British designer Stuart Hughes announced the world's most expensive iPad, which is made of Dinosaur bones, gold and diamonds in addition to pieces of Ammolite, a stone that brings in around an $8 million price tag. The tablet will be sold for five million British pounds ($8.1 million) and only two such tablets will be created. The back of the new ‘blinged' out tablet is entirely clad in 24-carat gold, with 53 12.5-carat diamonds set in the Apple logo. The logo itself is also encrusted in a 24-carat gold rear. Hughes reportedly used up to two kilograms of gold in order to make the two-of-a-kind tablets. According to reports, the designer sourced 75-million-year-old Ammolite stone for the iPad 2′s front and a 65-million-year-old T-Rex dinosaur bone to shave into the Ammolite. No media reports have mentioned how the designer was able to get a hold of the bones or what price he paid for it. Hughes made headlines earlier when he introduced the world's most expensive iphone4: the Diamond Rose. The designer used over 500 diamonds on that device, which are embedded into the phone itself. He used a single cut 7.4-carat diamond on the phone's home screen and the glass back is made using rose gold and an additional 53 diamonds. The phone was on sale for $8 million and only two were made. His prior luxury items for the older model of the iPhone 3 also included many diamonds and large gold “bling,” and was on sale for $3 million. According to the designer's website, the company he started with his wife also enhances different gadgets with their luxury techniques such as laptops, TVs and even cars and yachts. BM
