Avnet is new Oracle distributor in MENA

Avnet Technology Solutions, the solutions distribution leader and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), added another major brand to its portfolio in the region by acquiring the value added distribution rights for the full range of Oracle software and Oracle Hardware across the Middle East and North Africa region.
Avnet will distribute the wide range of Oracle Applications, Hardware and Technology products in all the countries of MENA region – KSA, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Yemen, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.
Hani Barakat, Senior Director Oracle Business MENA, Avnet Technology Solutions Middle East, said, “The appointment of Avnet as a VAD for the Middle East and North Africa region is the result of Oracle execution on its global channel strategy to transact through VADs across the globe. Avnet is the only global VAD, operating in MENA region which puts Avnet ahead of any other VAD to take a bigger role in MENA region and maybe in an extended region.”
Avnet is bringing in the most innovative and successfully tested partner programs to the region. PartneRing, Marketing Programs, Accelerated Activation, and Product Plus One are the few examples of the programs that Avnet is going to introduce to the region. PartneRing is an Avnet sponsored partner eco-system – mechanism for partners from different partner communities to work together on joint solutions. Marketing programs is Avnet Communications and initiatives to drive awareness and interest in Oracle products into the reseller community. Accelerated Activation is Avnet combined enablement and demand generation initiative to stimulate partner product adoption. Product Plus One is an Avnet product enablement events designed to promote partner awareness of Oracle products complementary to existing core skills.
