CAIRO: Egypt has witnessed a wave of fatal road accidents over the past few days. Two accidents took place in Al Sharqiyah Governorate, northeast of Cairo, on Tuesday, leaving 35 dead and dozens injured. A truck with 15 passengers crashed into another truck and a taxi, and this accident was followed by another on the Zaqaziq Road. Egyptian Authorities believe that the accidents were caused by bad weather conditions, heavy fog and poor safety measures. On Thursday, three accidents took place in the 6th of October Governorate causing dozens of injuries, while in Assiut , a man was killed and five were injured after a series of road accidents . BM
