Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu offered their condolences, on behalf of the Turkish government and people, to the Egyptian people and government, especially the victims' family, according to a statement from the Turkish embassy in Cairo. 47 children, a driver and 2 supervisors were killed and som 17 were injured, while a bus was struck by a train on a railway crossing in Manfalut, 356 kilometres (220 miles) south of Cairo.
