Roberto Mancini wants a long stay at Manchester City after overseeing a good start to the season,..Goal website reported. The 46-year-old is reportedly set to hold talks with the club's owners over a new contract at the Etihad Stadium, having replaced Mark Hughes in December 2009 after his departure from Inter in May 2008. He told reporters: "I would like to stay here for many years in the future but it is not important, my contract. "After this year I have one more year and I don't have a problem with this. I haven't talked to the club but at the moment it is not important." City are top of the Premier League after winning seven and drawing one of their opening eight fixtures, while the Italian's managerial skills have been tested in recent weeks after Carlos Tevez allegedly refused to come on as a substitute against Bayern Munich. However, ahead of crucial matches against Villarreal in the Champions League and rivals Manchester United in the Premier League, Mancini understands the unstable nature of a manager's position. He added: "My feeling here is good. I would like to stay here but in football every week it can change.
