Cityscape Egypt 8th edition opens to meet full scale of buyers demands

Cityscape Egypt 2019, the eighth edition of the country's largest networking exhibition and conference on property development, opened at Egyptian National Exhibition Center (EIEC) today.
With an expanded portfolio of exhibitors and a slew of new projects launched to reinforce how the show is at the heart of a re-invigorated Egyptian real estate landscape.
More than 60 companies, including returning industry heavyweights and first-time participants are offering a full gamut of new-to-market real estate solutions at the four-day show, which runs until March 30 across four halls at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre (EIEC), keen to meet the increased demand for property across the country.
Forward-thinking exhibitors, up 25 per cent from the 2018 edition, has are have set out their stallto engage discerning property investors and serious buyers with a diverse range of projects, from the from the latest in gated communities to the New Capital's first fully furnished homes, and smart homes in Sheikh Zayed City, while some developers have gone back to the future with projects that pay home to Pharaonic architecture.
The growth in the exhibitor portfolio and the full spectrum of solutions on display serve as a clear indicator of the show vital importance in facilitating the progressive developers reshaping the country's reinvigorated property development sector, say show organisers.
"We were expecting our expansive exhibitor line-up to make some industry noise with major reveals and new-to-market solutions and they have certainly delivered," explained Chris Speller, Cityscape Group Director of Informa Exhibitions, which organises the event.
"The market is evolving, demand for variety is rising and as a result, the biggest names in the industry, joined by those looking to make their mark, have opened with an intent to set themselves apart from the competition, from the outset."
Among the exhibitors opening Cityscape Egypt 2019 with a host of new projects to meet the needs of investors, is Al Futtaim Real Esate. The MENA property sector powerhouse launched three projects at its Cairo Festival City, Oriana IV, Aura Apartments and The Podium. Oriana IV is an extension ofis an extension of Oriana Villas within a gated community inside Cairo Festival City.
The design of the neighborhood includes lush green landscapes, plazas, and paved walkways that weave through the 600 units spread across 830,000sqm of land.
Aura Apartments is Cairo Festival City's latest development, comprising 14, 6-story buildings totaling 405 units in two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouse suites. The Podium Offices is Cairo Festival City's commercial complex catering to the new generation of entrepreneurs. Equipped with state-of-the-art retail spaces, The Podium provides six, five-story buildings with panoramic views of the area, plazas, and private recreational areas.
"Our commitment to providing a number of diverse options for potential homeowners garnered the attraction of customers who have shown interest in our developments during Cityscape." Said Ashhraf Ezz El-Din, Managing Director of Al Futtaim Group Real Estate, adding that the company was forecasting a 30 per cent increase in property sales in 2019.
Fellow industry heavyweight Emaar Masr, meanwhile unveiled three new projects, Streets of Dreams Villas in Uptown Cairo; Marassi Villas and Mivida. The developer also announced flexible purchasing options of 0 per cent down payment and eight-year payment plans.
City Edge Developments meanwhile, pulled the covers off Al Masqsad, a development in the New Administrative capital it says offers the first fully-furnished smart homes in the New Capital, while also revealing Etapa, a smart community in the centre of Sheikh Zayed City.
Arabia for Development and Urban Progress rolled out Sun Capital, a mixed-use development featuring residential, retail and commercial properties, along with hospitals and universities, inspired by several Egyptian architectural methods such as Pharaonic architecture.
