MARAKEZ offered a wide range of positions for Tanta talents across various employment levels for its newest development, Mall of Tanta, opening in 2019.
MARAKEZ, which is one of the largest mixed-use developers in Egypt ,in collaboration with the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce at Tanta University, organized an employment fair at the premises of the University in February.
MARAKEZ received approximately 50,000 job applications during the job fair, further building anticipation among the local community as they eagerly anticipate the opening of the first internationally-modeled mall in secondary governorates.
With a wide variety of international and local brands; and unprecedented offerings to serve the Delta region's 42 million inhabitants, Mall of Tanta will provide over 20,000 direct and indirect job opportunities for the area's residents throughout its various development phases
"At MARAKEZ, we focus on the needs of the communities we serve. Mall of Tanta will enable MARAKEZ to diversify the convenience of its retail choices for dining and entertainment and will exceed the expectations of the region's residents. As a market leader, we are fostering economic growth, diversification and job creation through delivering our vision to build and manage developments that are at the heart and soul of the communities we serve," said Basil Ramzy, CEO of MARAKEZ.
"Our policy focuses on providing dynamic opportunities for human resources in the communities we operate in as well as depending on local talents and developing their skills," added Ramzy
The employment fair was attended by thousands of local job seekers looking to become team members for MARAKEZ's wide range of career opportunities. As a continuation of MARAKEZ's commitment and endeavors to hire and invest in human capital, it will conduct workshops and trainings for employees on a regular basis to further enhance all team members' skills and knowledge.
This comes in line with MARAKEZ's recruitment model to recruit local residents to support the local communities in which its developments are located
Located in the heart of Gharbeya Governorate, Mall of Tanta will provide local residents with a unique shopping experience, revolutionizing retail, dining and entertainment in the Delta region.
Spread over 40,000 square meters of gross leasable area, the mall will feature more than 140 retailers, 30 dining outlets, a cinema complex, a hypermarket, a dedicated furniture zone and an indoor entertainment area for children.
