Egyptian Life Takaful Insurance Company (gig) has achieved premiums portfolio of 27.5 million Egyptian pounds from bancassurance activity during the current fiscal year 2018\19, according to its Managing Director Ramah Asaad. Asaad told Amwal Al Ghad that premiums portfolio of this marketing activity hits 70 million pounds during the fiscal year 2017/18, seeking to boost this portfolio through increasing the company's geographical coverage with in the four banks it has signed a deal with. GIG has earlier reached bancassurance partnership to promote its products with four banks, Bank Audi-Egypt, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) – Egypt, Banque Misr's Islamic Transactions branch, and National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) – Egypt. In addition, The First Abu Dhabi Bank-Egypt has signed an agreement with Egyptian Life Takaful Insurance Company (gig) to launch banking insurance products and services. Under this agreement, various options will be offered from the company's insurance products to the bank's customers.
