The Ministry of Industry and Trade seeks to increase the exports of leather and leather products to reach $ 400 million within two years compared to its current value of $110 million, Yasser El Maghraby, Advisor to Minister of Trade said. He added on the sidelines of the first conference of Leather Export Council that the ministry seeks to develop the exports of the leather products within the next 5 years. On the other hand, El Maghraby noted that 95 percent of the production capacity in Magra El-Oyoun has been relocated to Al-Robeky city. He further noted that the tanneries will be fully relocated within 5 months. The city aims at brining all leather tanneries, currently in Magra El-Oyoun, in one place to become an integrated city for leather.
