Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 04 - 08 - 2012

Dr. Ali Ismail, CEO of the General Authority for Reconstruction Projects and Agricultural Development, affirmed that the new government's strategies toward the Ministry of Agriculture and land Reclamation will play main roles in solving the problems facing Egyptian and Arab investors in Toshka, Sharq Al-Owainat, and the North Coast, with regard to establishment of reclamation projects and integrated urban, agricultural, and industrial communities in these promising areas, in cooperation with the ministries of Water Resources, Irrigation, and Housing.
The integrated projects for land reclamation which take place in Toshka, Sharq Al-Owainat, and Sinai, will attract more than one milion families in the next five years, within the frame work of the Egyptian Renaissance Project adopted by President Mohamed Morsi, he said.
This was declared yesterday during the party held by an Emirati company for agriculture in Cairo to celebrate launching the first stage which will include the reclamation and cultivation of 30,000 acres in the third branch of Toshka, which lie in an estimated area of about 100 thousands acres, after Eid al-Fitr holiday.
For the first time in the framework of the Egyptian Renaissance Project, the government will offer 360 acres for investors, companies, associations, and individuals, with spaces ranging between 5,000 to 10,000 acres. This includes 45,000 acres in Valley Nitrite, 140,000 in Northern Sinai surrounding Al-Salam Canal, 110,000 in Toshka, and 65,000 in Sharq Al-Owainant to reclaim lands and construct urban, agricultural, and industrial communities withing the coming three years, Ismail announced during the ceremony.
