Munich Re Tops Global Reinsurers List

Germany's Munich Reinsurance Company topped A.M. Best's Review List of world's largest reinsurance groups in 2010 by posting gross reinsurance premiums written of US$ 31.280 million in life and non-life sectors and US$ 20.809 million in non-life sector.
The rankings of the world's largest global reinsurance companies were released by A.M. Best in January 2nd, 2012 issue of Best Week.
A.M. Best ranked Swiss Reinsurance Company Limited in the second place as it registered US$ 24.756 million in gross premiums written in life and non-life sectors and US$ 13.783 million in non-life sectors.
