Razzies 2012: Adam Sandler Tops with Record 11 Nominations

Adam Sandler topped the 2012 Razzie nominations, which were announced on Feb. 25, on the eve of the Oscars, with a record 11 listings. Sandler received nominations as the Worst Star, Worst Producer or Writer for three of his 2011 films - "Jack and Jill", "Just Go with It" and "Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star"
Incidentally, the previous record number of nominations was held by Eddie Murphy, who had 5 last year, for "Norbit".
Interestingly, Sandler has been nominated for both Worst Actor and Worst Actress, for dual roles in "Jack and Jill".
"It's almost karmic for someone to have made that much razz-able stuff in one year.He has angered someone really powerful, I would say," Razzies founder John Wilson was quoted as saying by Todayonline.
"Jack and Jill" leads with 12 nominations; "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" is second with nine and "Breaking Dawn" is third with eight.
