Crédit Agricole SA says net profit after tax in Egypt rose 31 percent y-o-y to record 632 million Egyptian pounds ($71.2 million) in the first half of the year. Earlier, the French bank in Egypt posted a net profit after tax worth 483 million pounds in the first half of 2015. The number of clients in Crédit Agricole Egypt increased 6.5 percent thanks by the end of June 2016, to witnessing a bigger network of branches in the North African country. The bank currently has 79 branches in the country. Established in 2006, Crédit Agricole Egypt has become an active player in Egypt's financial industry offering a wide range of innovative and convenient products to its clients across the entire spectrum: Corporate, SMEs and individuals.
