The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the IT arm of the Egyptian Ministry of Communications, has approved the establishment of four new centres for innovation and entrepreneurship, its chief executive announced Saturday. The centres will be with estimated cost worth 100 million Egyptian pounds (US$11.26 million). Speaking at Techne Summit being taken place in Alexandria, Asmaa Hosny, CEO of ITIDA, said centres would include Lower Egypt, Upper Egypt regions as well as Canal and Nile Delta cities. The four centers will be established through cooperation between the public and private sectors and the help of different academic institutions with the aim of supporting fresh graduates and developing new startups.
