The market capitalisation of the Egyptian stocks has achieved weekly gains worth 4.4 billion pounds (US$ 562.3 million) to end the week at 426 billion pounds versus 421.6 billion pounds a week earlier. The country's main stock index, EGX30 has increased 2.14 percent to close at 6812 points, opposed to 6669 points at the end of a week earlier. The main gauge index registered its highest point on Thursday closing at 6812 points, whereas its lowest point recorded on Sunday at 6707 points. In addition, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 boosted in a week by 1.9 percent closing at 371 points during Thursday's session, compared to 364 points at the end of a week earlier. The price index, EGX100 also rose 1.2 percent finishing at 769 points during Thursday's session, from 760 points at the end of a week earlier.
