EGX Midday Gains EGP 3 Bln On Egyptians, Arabs Purchases

On Sunday's midday session, the EGX posted gains of EGP 3.47 billion as the capital market has reached EGP 358.731 billion according to data compiled at 11.10 GMT (1:10 in Cairo).
The main index, EGX30 surged 1.13% to reach 5071.8 p. EGX20 inched higher 1.18% to reach 5932.1p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 soared 1.31% to reach 438.42 p. Price index EGX100 edged up 1.24% to reach 795 p.
Traded volume reached 40.629 million securities worth EGP 147.735 million, exchanged through 9.749 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 158 listed securities; 11 declined and 134 advanced while 13 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers seizing 80.68% and 8.8% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 11.029 million and EGP 8.626 million, excluding the deals.
On the other hand, non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers seizing 10.52% with a net equity of EGP 19.655 million, excluding the deals.
EGX's leading shares have witnessed steeply upwards as Orascom Construction Industries (OCIC) jumped 2.29% to hit EGP 279.72. Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (ORTE) soared 1.50% to reach EGP 3.38. Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT) climbed 1.44% to hit EGP 1.41.
Commercial International Bank- Egypt (COMI) edged up 0.73% to reach EGP 26.25.
On the other hand, EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO) sank 1.13% to reach EGP 13.18.
