Egypt thanks Hungary for not changing travel advice
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 08 - 11 - 2015

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry extended thanks to Hungary for not taking any measures or decisions that affect the Egyptian economy.
He also thanked Hungary for not changing travel advice to Egypt, despite the swift decisions taken by a number of countries in this respect.
Shoukry's remarks were made during a joint press conference held Saturday with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto in Cairo.
The Hungarian side takes into consideration ties and partnership between the two countries, he said, adding that this does not affect the interests of the two counties. He further said that this is his fourth meeting with his Hungarian counterpart within six months.
Shoukry also pointed out to the meetings held at the summit level between the leaderships of the two countries.
Talking about his meeting with Szijjarto, Shoukry said that the talks took up cooperation along with ways of boosting cooperation in railways field and making use of the scholarships which are offered by Hungary.
Egypt and Hungary are satisfied with the level of ties binding the two countries along with the joint viewpoint toward various regional and international issues, said Shoukry.
Shoukry also said that he discussed with his Hungarian counterpart the issue of illegal immigration and an agreement was reached to tackle this matter as part of the existing international treaties.
The Hungarian minister, for his part, voiced satisfaction over his visit to Egypt, saying that the frequent visits by officials of the two countries contribute to boosting bilateral ties.
The Minister also pointed out to the successful visit of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Budapest and his meeting with the Hungarian prime minister on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings. He, meanwhile, affirmed his respect to the Egyptian government along with the measures taken to flourish the Egyptian economy.
Hungary considers Egypt as its strategic partner and an ally to confront terrorism, he said.
Egypt exerts tireless efforts to attain stability in the region, he said, adding that Hungary has chosen not to change travel advice to Egypt so as not to cause losses for the North African country.
