A huge fire started on Monday morning at a paper mill in Mustorod district, Shubra Al Khaima. Almost 650 ton of finally produced paper has been burnt. 20 fire trucks from Qalyubia governorate immediately went to the scent to control the blaze. Security apparatus think the reason of the blaze is short circuit. The blaze lasted 3 hours with no loss of lives, while the initial causalities estimated with more than EGP 15 million. It has detected, after examination that the mill is on 27 acres and has 1200 workers. The blaze started at “al-Doublex" warehouse then extended to the rest of the mill. The workers succeeded in getting out a large amount of the products, estimated with 200 ton of paper. This matter lessened the causalities.
