Egypt, Ethiopia and South Africa have been nominated to host the 9th World Water Forum, which will be held in six years with the participation of 170 countries. This came during the African day events that was organized by the African Ministers' Council on Water on Friday 17/4/2015 on the sidelines of the 7th World Water Forum currently being held in the South Korean city of Daegu. During the event, Egypt has expressed its full readiness to provide all forms of support and participation in any project and water programs with the African brethren through providing the Egyptian expertise in the related fields. Addressing the forum, Egypt stressed that most of the African countries are in a dire need for joint action especially in sanitation and clean drinking water projects. The Egyptian delegation stressed that investments should also be pumped into projects that provide food and potable water. The World Water Forum is a large-scale international conference that is held every three years since 1997 in cooperation with the public, private sectors, academia, and industries.
