11 Egyptian Railway Lines to halt Night Services until February

Egypt's Railways Authority will close 11 secondary railway lines at night until the end of January, reported Al-Ahram's Arabic news website.
The head of the authority, Ahmed Hamed, said the move is to "safeguard the lives of passengers."
Hamed cited incidents of explosions at train stations, including one in the Nile Delta city of Zaqaziq which affected railway services there.
He cited 17 reports of "suspicious packages" on railways and in stations last Friday, a day of heightened anti-government protests.
Sunday marks the fourth anniversary of the 2011 revolution against Hosni Mubarak. A number of anti-government protests marking the date were reported over the weekend.
The railway closures will take place from 5pm to 6am daily.
