Jumia Brings Online Shopping to Cairo ICT Visitors
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 05 - 11 - 2014

Jumia, the e-commerce leader in Egypt and Africa, is introducing an opportunity for greater shopping convenience to Cairo ICT visitors by providing them with access to purchasing many of the available products through the Jumia website. Jumia has set up relaxing lounges equipped with tablet PCs and handheld devices, through which visitors can make online purchases for products they see and like at the exhibition.
"We are excited to bring online shopping to Cairo ICT visitors, providing them with great access and easy ways to shop online," said Tamer El Fiky - Marketing Manager of Jumia Egypt. "Since consumers now expect to be empowered with tools that make their lives easier, Jumia is working nonstop to deliver the most convenient online shopping experience. Why face the hassle of buying and carrying boxes through the exhibition halls, when shoppers can have it all delivered to their doorstep through the click of a button?" he added.
Cairo ICT 2014 was created to become a meeting place for the technology sector in Egypt. After 17 years of Cairo ICT success, Jumia this year is introducing an extra ordinary online shopping experience demonstrating the strength and attractiveness of the e-commerce opportunity for both consumers and businesses.
"E-commerce is enabling retailers to reach customers across borders, expanding their reach and revenue potential while providing a greater range of choice and lower prices. And the fact that e-retailing can be integrated seamlessly with other digital media like mobile and social, is a big advantage for brands in the market," El Fiky added. "At an exhibition of the scale of Cairo ICT, with thousands of visitors, the potential of adding more revenue is huge if customers have the added convenience of online shopping and home delivery."
Cairo ICT is taking place form November 4th till 7th at the Cairo International Conference Center. It represents a platform for major launches from public and private sectors. In 17 years Cairo ICT had more than 4500 exhibitors 55,000 conferees and over 900,000 visitors. Jumia Egypt will be exhibiting in HALL 5.
