Egypt's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy met on Wednesday with Hisham El Nazer, Country Director for Google in Egypt, to explore how digital tools, including artificial intelligence (AI), can help propel Egypt's tourism brand on the global stage. The meeting, which took place during the 2025 Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, focused on expanding the reach of Egypt's new tourism slogan, "Egypt, Unmatched Diversity!" The Ministry aims to increase global awareness of Egypt's wide array of tourism products, spanning cultural, coastal, spiritual, and sports offerings, as part of its strategy to position the country as the world's top tourism destination for variety. Minister Fathy outlined the government's efforts to ensure Egypt's tourism sector receives the global attention it deserves. "Our strategy revolves around making Egypt synonymous with unmatched diversity in tourism," he noted. "We aim to engage travelers worldwide with our diverse offerings." The partnership follows a successful promotional campaign in the Arab world last Ramadan, entitled "Egypt: Spirit of Ramadan." The initiative, led by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority and Google, reached 16 million users across the region, showcasing Egypt's cultural and spiritual heritage during the holy month. In March, another promotional push aimed at European markets used AI-driven technology to reach 100 million users on its first day, covering eight key tourism-exporting countries. The rapid success of these campaigns is expected to fuel further efforts to promote Egypt's tourism offerings. The two sides have agreed to immediately begin conducting market research, with plans to launch the next phase of the Unmatched Diversity Campaign in the coming months, further cementing Egypt's position in the competitive global tourism market.
