Coca-Cola Replaces its Famous Logo with the Most Common Names in Egypt

In an invitation to spread happiness and bringing Egyptians closer, Coca-Cola announced the launch of "Share a Coke" starting the first day of Ramadan. The campaign encourages people to share happiness with each other simply through sharing a Coke; the company announced its selection of 150 of the most common names in Egypt and placed them on all of its different packs. The company itself began the initiative byalso distributing half a million Coke cans to passersby in several of Egyptian governorates in the first days of Ramadan.
Ahmed Nazmy, Coca-Cola's marketing manager for Egypt, Libya, Sudan and Yemen stated, "We always strive to spread happiness amongst Egyptians; we launched this campaign to encourage sharing between Egyptians and to bring them closer through a simple step of sharing a Coke with your friend's, neighbor's and even random people's names on it. We have launched this campaign in several countries such as Australia and United Kingdom, and we decided that Egypt would be one of the first countries in the Middle East that witnesses such an innovative initiative."
He also added that the company wants to thank all its customers and their brand lovers through this campaign by printing their names on the packs. The company will also allocate a number of trucks that are prepared with specialized machines that can print the uncommon or unavailable names for everyone to participate in the campaign and start sharing.
To achieve the main goals of "Share a Coke" campaign and to encourage sharing, the company will be holding a number of charity public and touristic activities that brings people closer and spread happiness, through participating in charity work in the holy month. Moreover, the company will announce a number of surprises with the participation of art, sports and media celebrities.
It is worthy of mentioning that all the company's initiatives aim to spread happiness amongst all the Egyptian people through hosting huge events for the first time in Egypt like the World Cup Trophy Tour and Pele's visit. In addition to new, surprising initiatives that are undertaken for the first time in the Middle East in general and in Egypt in specific.
