UAE, Egypt Ink EGP250 million Pact for Training, Qualifying the Youth

Egypt and The United Arab Emirates has signed a executive agreement to initiate the training for employment project to train more than 100,000 youth and qualify them to use the latest technical programs according to the needs and requirement of the different industrial sectors to get them into the job market and provide decent job.
Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour, Minister of Trade, Industry, and investment, stated that this project comes in accordance to the agreement between the UAE and Egyptian Governments last October to tap into the package of grants and incentives given by the UAE to finance and execute a number of developmental project in the next phase.
He added that the project aims at initiating an electronic and information system to monitor and the employment and skills need in the industrial sector which will set the actual needs and required training and taking the right decisions and strategic planning for the training and employment and the establishment of a Vocational training center and the preparation of curriculum and training the interns and investment required in the field of industrial training.
Mahmoud El Sherbiny, Executive Director at Industrial Training Council, revealed that the project will include Ready-made clothes, food, engineering, construction materials, leather, chemical industries, printing, packaging, trade sector, services, and tourism.
He added that Awareness campaign will organized to concentrate on enhancing the value of vocational work and its importance.
