He said " We are working with the ministry of environment affairs and NGO's which help people and youth to work on the beverage recycling which acquires about 90% of the cartoon UBS"
Tetra Pak providing the processing and packaging solutions to the Egyptian food industry for the past 32 years and it produce about 3 billion packages if juices, milk and cheese one billion for each.
The company has, expanded its production in the past year according to Lindgren who said that "We have around 120 production lines that are responsible for making packages for Egypt. Another12- 15 lines has been established for the past three years"
Lindgren says that "Current circumstances didn't affect the industry of packaging especially that the food industry is growing heavily for the last 3 years"
Production of cheese packages is growing by more than 40% while growth in milk and juices averaged between15% to 20%, according to the managing director, he said that the expansion plans of Juhayna,Obbour land, Faragalla, Green land and Domty, has a direct impact on the packaging industry.
Tetra Pak has been working closely with almost all the producers in Egypt in the categories of; liquid dairy products cheese and juices.
Tetra Pak Egypt, started its operations in 1981, were it grew from four employees to 75 continuously striving to provide safe and innovative products to meet the rising needs of the Egyptian market, and keep up with the huge potential this market has.
Tetra Pak Egypt, was announced Market Company of the year for 2012. Market Company of the year is an award given to a market company due to its consistent strong performance across defined measures over a number of years.
Lindgren says " we don't have a direct investment in the Egyptian market as the packages our customers need we produce them in our factories in the region which are centralized in Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan" however he said " we have an expansion plan to establish a new factory in the local market at a certain amount of demand we would have to build a factory to serve the market".
He didn't determine the amount they need to establish that factory as they are providing the market with 3 billion packages yearly and their factorys' in Saudi Arabia capacity is 6-9 billion packages.
