Egypt ready to launch new clearing system to streamline tax payments – FM

Egypt's Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said on Wednesday that the country's new clearing system is ready for official rollout after four months of live trials involving more than 80 companies.
The system will enable taxpayers to use their balances and process settlements seamlessly, reducing administrative burdens and improving efficiency, Kouchouk said at the weekly press briefing of the Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to link the Ministry of Finance with the National Social Insurance Authority (NASI) and other relevant agencies, with plans to expand connectivity to electricity and utilities in the near term.
Full clearing between all government entities has not yet been implemented, but authorities are working to integrate remaining bodies as quickly as possible, streamlining processes and shortening approval cycles for businesses and taxpayers.
