Egypt and Rwanda signed several memoranda of understanding on Tuesday covering water resource management, land allocation for logistics and trade purposes, housing, and investment protection, the Egyptian presidency said in a statement. The agreements were signed during Rwandan President Paul Kagame's visit to Cairo, where he held talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the Ittihadiya Palace. "Our partnership goes back to the 1960s, and we are determined to raise it to a higher level," Sisi said after the signing ceremony. "We agreed to expand trade, encourage mutual investment, and open new opportunities in pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, food industries and construction, while boosting technical support and knowledge transfer." Sisi said the agreements reflect Cairo's commitment to strengthening ties with Rwanda and expanding economic cooperation across Africa. Kagame praised Egypt's support for Rwanda's development goals and called the partnerships "a foundation for deeper collaboration." Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English
