Egypt's Banque Misr signed Tuesday a cooperation protocol worth 18.5 million Egyptian pounds with the National Council for Persons with Disabilities and the Alhassan Foundation for Differently Abled Inclusion to provide modern wheelchairs for people with motor disabilities. According to a Cabinet statement, the deal will fund the distribution of advanced and custom-designed wheelchairs, including chairs tailored for cerebral palsy cases, aimed at improving mobility, daily life and social participation for beneficiaries. Banque Misr CEO Hisham Okasha said the initiative reflects the bank's commitment to social responsibility and inclusive development in line with Egypt's Vision 2030, which prioritises social justice and better quality of life. The National Council for Persons with Disabilities will oversee the distribution process, while the Al-Hassan Foundation will design and supply the customised chairs.
