Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi have strongly condemned Israel's widening military operations during a meeting on the sidelines of the Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia. The two ministers rejected attempts at displacement, starvation, and settlement expansion. They said such blatant violations of international law would only worsen humanitarian suffering and undermine prospects for peace. They reaffirmed ongoing joint efforts to secure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, end the prolonged humanitarian catastrophe, and ensure the swift, unconditional delivery of humanitarian, relief, and medical aid to the enclave. Abdel-Aty and Safadi urged the international community, particularly influential powers and partners, to shoulder their responsibilities to stop the offensive and address the root causes of the crisis. They stressed that regional stability cannot be achieved while Israeli aggression continues in Gaza and the West Bank. The ministers reiterated that the only path to a just and lasting peace is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
