Summit Technology Solutions (STS) Signs LE 19 M Contract With Kempinski Hotel

STS was awarded EGP19 million to complete an integrated IP network solution project for Kempinski Royal Maxim Palace in New Cairo. Kempinski is Europe's oldest luxury hotel group running 75 five-star hotels in 31 countries.
The project started in September 2012, and since then STS has installed a complete IP network solution for the renowned hotel group. The technology solution aligns with Kempinski Hotel's standards of top quality and exclusive service for its clients. In addition, it offers the latest technology which may be integrated with other available systems.
With its Swedish unique design and timeless elegancy, Kempinski Royal Maxim Palace was constructed by Royal Maxim Holding with a total area of 25,000 square meters. The real estate company provides luxurious standards and unrivalled facilities, and is transforming Egypt's landscape with ground-breaking projects.
STS installed a complete integrated IP network via the implementation of cutting-edge solutions, including Cisco switches, routing, security, Wi-Fi access points, VoIP phones, IPTV, IPCCTV, building management systems and fire alarm solutions. These first-class solutions were installed with the help of STS Technology's partners, including Cisco Solutions, Locatel Solutions, Samsung and Siemens.

Egypt's hospitality sector is the pillar of its economy, and is one of main contributors to the tourism industry. According to official figures, approximately 11.5 million tourists visited the country in 2012 and generated $10 billion in revenue. The Ministry of Planning reported that in the first half of fiscal year 2012/13, 6.3 million tourists visited, bringing in$5.6billion in revenue, which represents a 10% increase in the number of tourists and 12% increase in revenue compared with the first half of fiscal year 2011/12. The Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) reported that Egypt received 1.1 million tourists in April 2013, which is 5.2% more than it received in the same period last year.
