South Korea's online shopping transaction value rose 7.3 per cent year-on-year in July 2025 to 23.03 trillion won ($16.7 billion), data showed on Monday. Mobile shopping accounted for the majority of the growth, climbing 10 per cent to 18.16 trillion won and representing 78.8 per cent of total online transactions, up from 76.9 per cent a year earlier, according to government statistics. By category, online purchases of motor vehicles, parts, and accessories jumped 54.8 per cent from July 2024, while food and beverages rose 12.6 per cent, and food services increased 11 per cent.
