Egyptian Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel El Wazir inspected on Sunday the site of the Margham 3 industrial complex, established on 30 feddans under the General Authority for Industrial Development. The complex includes 155 industrial units, each covering 396 square metres and expandable. The minister listened to a briefing from project consultant Taysir Mamdouh on implementation rates, executing companies, and the scheduled date of operation. He stressed the need to manufacture metal structures for the units in parallel with construction work to speed up completion and meet investor demand. El Wazir also met workers from Margham 1 and Margham 2 plastic industries complexes to review their challenges. He praised their production of high-quality goods that serve both local and export markets, competing globally. He urged them to raise productivity, noting the availability of raw materials and capabilities to achieve industrial development goals. The minister instructed the General Authority for Industrial Development to allocate unused areas outside planned zones for new factories. He underlined that the complexes are part of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to localise industry, support small and medium-sized enterprises, and foster a complete investment environment. El Wazir said the ministry ensures the units are fully equipped with infrastructure and services, ready for immediate operation, and built to the latest construction and environmental standards. He added that this approach gives investors an ideal setting to begin production without additional burdens. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: M. S. Salama
