Egypt's Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has directed the Railway, Metro, and Highways Accidents Insurance Pool to raise the compensation for victims' families of the Matrouh train accident to 75,000 Egyptian pounds instead of 30,000 as an exceptional measure. FRA Chairman Mohamed Farid instructed the pool to expedite disbursement to the families of the victims and the injured. Farid stated that compensation for the injured will be determined according to the percentage of disability.
